Another Birthday

Today was my birthday and it was a pretty fun one. My brother and his wife and their new baby are here from Idaho. Also my sister from San Diego drove up. We hung out most of the day and played some cornhole! We went to Lamppost Pizza in Corona for some pizza and trivia!

My wife made a wonderful pumpkin cheesecake! It was delicious. Tomorrow or should I say in 4 minutes is Thanksgiving.

I am thankful for another year of growth, not as thankful for the physical growth, but the growth towards one another.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Pagan Christianity – Book Forum

Have you read Pagan Christianity Book Info and Forum
Pagan Christianity By: Frank Viola, George Barna?
If so I would love to begin a dialog here. What do you think of it? What stuck out to you?

My father took it from my counter a year or so ago and read through it in a day or so. He bookmarked tons of pages, where he wanted to discuss further. We have yet to get to that point, since he is in Libya now!

What is your take on

Should Your Church Grow?

Easy question, don’t you think? Easy answer, right? Of course, everyone replies. Simple question, simple answer. Let’s dig deeper.

If you think your church should grow, tell me why. Why should your church grow? Don’t just give me “the great commission”. I know this, you know this. Give me reasons on why your church needs to grow.

If your church closed its doors tomorrow, would the community around you notice? Not such a simple question. Dig deep into this question. Don’t stop with no, or yes. You need to know why you answer the way you do.

If you believe your church should grow, then you can probably give me a list of 10, 20, 50, 100 things on why your church should grow.

This is a powerful tool. Take some time with the leaders/staff in your church to list 50 reasons your church should grow. Once you get 50 now list 50 more reasons on why your church should grow.

Work on this list. Dream about it, grow it, live it. Why should your church grow?

Ugh! I feel nasty. Just plain sick. Almost feel like throwing up. My head is rolling, can’t focus very well.

6:05 PM Hurricane Update

Winds picking up with a little rain. They are predicting tornadoes and lot’s or rain to go along with Hurricane Ike in our area.

Some people have left our community, a few boarded up, but almost large percentage have stayed. We are pretty far north but still saying 100+ mile an hour winds plus the possibility of tornadoes. Rain in our area could reach 15 inches, but somewhere in the neighborhood of 9 – 15 inches.

They are saying most likely lose our power for a few days. We are under a curfew that will start later.

Credit Card Offers

How many credit card offer’s do you receive in a week? My last count was 17 credit card offers! Isn’t that crazy? I did a quick search on Google Adwords to find out what the average click pays for the term credit card offer and found out that is $17.76! That means if you search Google for the words credit card offer the ads that come up on the top and on the side are paying almost $20 per click! That is crazy.

Wouldn’t it better to just give that money to the person that wants the credit card offer? IF they are willing to pay that much money to fill your mailbox and for someone to click their ad how much is 1 really hot lead worth?

$100, $1000? I will bet it is in the neighborhood closer to $1000. So why not say Sign up and use our credit card 1 time and we will send you a FAT Check for $1000?

Credit Cards are a lucrative business. I know because I generate some money on my blogs due to people looking for credit cards. So I know it pays but if I was a credit card company I would look at bringing this money straight to my customers and not to fliers that fill the mailbox.

I suppose I should get writing again on this bog. Hmm… what to write about. Well by now I have lost 99.9% of the readers to this blog. :)

Well if you are still reading this site after months of no updates…you need to ask yourself what is wrong?

Seriously. I will try to do a bit better, but I don’t guarantee a thing. Life has been fast and fun and thus no time for this site. I will give it another shot though.
