The Stars are Bright

I am back in the good state of Texas tonight after a short trip to New York and So Cal. I will be here for a few days and then back to California. It was raining pretty hard in California, which as we all know is needed. I love the rain, but a clear beautiful 70 degree day in California is hard to beat. I hope this weekend is those days we are so fond of comes back!

Busy and big day tomorrow. Some really high level meetings to bring together a good partnership for some international work. Should go well.

Catch you soon.

End of Week and Travel to Texas

This week was pretty busy. I was able to accomplish a lot of things at work which of course is food. Unfortunately I have a short weekend and leave for a business Development trip on Sunday. I love working in Los Angeles. The atmosphere is definitely different than a small privately owned company where I was the vice president, but it is a good place.

I really like the work and the team we have in place is an excellent team.

On a side note my wife is 13 weeks pregnant. Time is flying by. I was informed today that they baby is already the size of a peach and all organs are fully functioning. Crazy that this is only 11 weeks past conception and it if a real life human being. Life is a miracle.

Tomorrow should be a relaxed day. I will pack my bags for Galveston, and finish a few things around the house. Other than that, I will watch some college football Go Boise State and USC!!

El Paso Texas 2nd Stop of Move to California

Today we made it to El Paso for a stop at the Embassy Suites. This hotel could use some renovating but it isn’t that bad. El Paso was dirty, but still some nice things to be had. Chico’s Tacos is a great place!

I got a meeting set up today with the incoming president of Panama. Pretty exciting. Still some details to iron out.

San Antonio River Walk

First night of our big move from Houston to California had us stop for the night in San Antonio Texas. We walked around the Riverwalk and had a great time! I love this city and it is by far my favorite city that I have been too. Of course I was also born here. Texans are always proud of their state.

We are all very exhausted from all the business of moving.

Sunday – Hurricane Update 9:58pm

Hello! We made it through the storm just fine. Our pool and trees didn’t have fare quite as well. We have no power and no phones (phones very sporadic). It has been crazy to say the least.

I lost a huge Oak tree into my pool and hot tub. The house is just fine. It is definitely like a war zone. Today I took the family to Keller, TX which is near Fort Worth. We are going to pick up some supplies and then head back down to the war zone.

They say it could be up to a month before we have power. More updates to follow on Hurricane Ike and the aftermath.
