Networking in Phnom Penh and Planning for the 1 Year Mark Since Johnny

Busy days for sure. I am a great at networking as well bringing people together is what I am told.

Just got done with a meeting with the Head of the International school. Definitely a great program is being run at Newbridge International School in Phnom Penh.

Now I am off to a meeting with the SW Friend’s Yearly Meeting missionaries. They have quite a tragic story that I can definitely relate to with the death of my son last April.

HEY -
Speaking of that, we are looking for a few days of et-a-way time around April 19th the day my son was taken of the ventilator. Anyone have any ideas or options? Do you possibly know of someone that has a house in Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear that isn’t being used? April 20th, the day after Johnny’s passing is our 17th anniversary. We were thinking of going somewhere with the kids and just enjoying each other’s company.

I have to run now. Let me know, email or comments below.

Almost Home

After a week in Houston and Dallas, it will be nice to be home and celebrating my youngest daughter’s 12th birthday! The trip was a good one, getting work done as well as seeing some family. Always a good time with family.

Cambodia and Hong Kong Here I Come

I purchased my ticket yesterday for a trip to Cambodia and Hong Kong. I am really excited to visit my cousin in Cambodia and then travel to Hong Kong and explore the city.

This is an entirely new part of the globe for me to explore and one I have really wanted to visit for quite some time. Over the next couple of weeks I may post the possibilities of what I may do while I am there.

Until then!

Busyness – I CAN Do

Another crazy 2 weeks kicked off today.

1. Officiating a Wedding
2. Speaking at 2 Churches
3. College Paper Due
4. Work

On top of all this today I was asked to go to Libya on the 10th. Without a Libyan Visa (another story) it was almost impossible, although I was up for the challenge. The racing began minutes after the phone call asking me to head to Libya on a marketing trip to the leadership of Libya.

Sadly yet fortunately the trip was canceled. So that simplifies quite a bit my schedule for the next few weeks. Still the pressure is on. Weddings, reports, and sermons require a lot of work on top of all my regular work.

Busyness can be good as long as it is productive and doesn’t overwhelm. That I can do!

Gold Rush – California

We made it to Ontario California and showed the family the house that we made an offer on. We spent some time walking around the neighborhood and the home. They loved it. We drove around Ontario and we were all very impressed with Ontario! The area by Ontario Mills Mall is everything you would want in an area! It has everything we were hoping for! We loved it!

We just drove to Anaheim and got our hotel for the next month or so. It is nice and will work out great! Marsha is feeling a bit spoiled as in this motel they will load our dishwasher for us and even do our grocery shopping! They have breakfast for us everyday and even have dinners most days. On Thursdays – Saturdays they have Kid’s Movie nights. During the days they have some excursions to various shopping and other things such as Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland.

Seems fun!

Just made it to Tempe, Arizona

We stopped for The Buttes, Marriott Resortthe night in Tempe, Arizona at The Buttes, a Marriott Resort that is awesome. This hotel is built into a mountain and is a resort instead of the normal hotel. The service is superb so far and the rooms is very nice.

There is live music out at the pool which is built in and around the mountain. The pool has a nice water slide. Our room is a nice upgrade and has a patio out to the pool area.

Beautiful!
